the work i’ve put in to stand out among those who look just like me

to have such talent grouped together because a closed mind

didn’t think so many of the same color and/or shape

could be capable of bringing life to those barely hanging on

though i look like my neighbor–my blues create a picture that is nothing like theirs

Cast a spell on life
Magic brightened what was dim
Say the magic word
